Just go with the flow.
I recently joined a contest that goes hand in hand with my recent efforts to become a fashion blogger. There, I said it.
Although I very probably missed the train to become the next Chiara Ferragni, I like to think of it as a way to get rid of my insecurities- I’m self-conscious about my windshield wiper speed when it’s raining. Like I got to watch other cars to make sure I’m not being too dramatic. That’s just one example and the list is longer than Leonardo DiCaprio’s wait for an Oscar. Let’s just hope I last longer than Jack in the freezing water after the Titanic went under.
There was enough space for both of them on the door!
Anyhow, the contest. After the initial submission task we were invited to Ljubljana, to style and present a summer outfit. We were able to choose the pieces from a high-end, multi-brand store, which is very popular with classy, mature, sophisticated shoppers. In translation that means spending big bucks on mom-clothes, which isn’t necessary my motto.

I have got to say, I was pleasantly surprised. They have a wide range of stylish brands for the younger clientele and there’s where I swiped up the gorgeous maxi dress from Guess.
Romantic and cute isn’t really my style, but since I didn’t have to look on the price tag I thought “What the heck! Let’s try something new”. I did blew it with the accessories, though. But it seemed like a safe choice at the moment, so it is what it is.
It was a nice experience which pushed me out of my comfort zone, especially when being photographed in the middle of the street and trying to avoid my RBF. Resting bitch face, that is. If only I would get a dollar every time someone asked me why I look so serious…I would sooo start buying all the overpriced snacks at the cinema instead of sneaking them in with my gym bag. =p
